This two day course can help your organisation embed the Aged Care Quality Standards by:

  • Exploring dignity and choice for consumers
  • Promoting the value of a partnership with the person living with dementia and their family and friends, to plan for the future
  • Discussing how to develop personal care which is safe and tailored to the individual
    Promoting wellbeing through a range of lifestyle choices to enrich the persons experiences
  • Exploring what makes an enabling and safe environment for the person living with dementia
  • Encouraging a continuous improvement approach to everyday work
  • Developing understanding and empathy for the person living with dementia
  • Emphasising the organisations responsibility to provide safe and quality care services

To obtain qualification, students need to:

  • Undertake an assessment of their knowledge
  • Demonstrate skills in their own workplace
